Speaker Boost

Simple, small, free app to boost your speaker or headphone sound volume. Useful for movies, audio books and music.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Playing audio at high volumes, especially for a prolonged amount of time, can destroy speakers and/or damage hearing. Some users HAVE reported destroyed speakers and earphones. IF YOU HEAR DISTORTED AUDIO, LOWER THE VOLUME (but it may be too late).

By installing this application you agree that you will not hold its developer responsible for any damage to hardware or hearing, and you are using it AT YOUR OWN RISK. Consider this to be EXPERIMENTAL software.

Not all devices support this software. Try it AT YOUR OWN RISK and see if yours works.

NOTE 1: This app does not work on most Android 4.2.1-4.3 devices. It should work on Android 4.4 and higher, as well as on devices below 4.2.1.

NOTE 2: This is NOT for adjusting the speakerphone volume in phone calls (that has its own boost, I think), but for adjusting the volume of music, movies and apps.

NOTE 3: When you set the boost to zero, Speaker Boost will be off. The notification icon is just for ease of launching. If you don't like seeing the notification icon when Speaker Boost is off, just go to Speaker Boost's Settings and set it to appear only when Speaker Boost is running.

UPDATE: Does not work anymore. Disappointing. OLD: Works pretty well. Have Note 4 and use Bose Q15s but often times couldn't hear videos. This app does a nice job. Sometimes needs to be opened and restarted to work properly. Better than other apps out there. Thanks!

On my tablet it is brilliant but when I put the boost over 40 song starts to glitch but when it is at 40 perfectly fine.........way louder with boost!!😁

App gives a message reboot or try later when I try to boost the volume would give a 5 star rating if it gave even a small boost

It won't work on my new cell I really love this app, but it doesnt work now.If anyone can help with this issue I will be so thankful. It gives me error message to try again or reboot.

Long I sought, with tears and sorrow, thinking always that tomorrow, I might buy or beg or borrow, an app to boost my sound. Then I found this one! Talk about easing the pain! When you read bad reviews about this one, bear in mind that the app is the same, but the equipment varies, and people forget that if you have a POS phone, even the best written app won't run without problems. If your phone is mis-configured, you will have problems. If you're app happy, you will have problems.
